The Trouble With Patience had one
ingredient I always like and that is a great beginning. Something grabs your
attention and you can't stop reading until you have thoroughly gotten into the
story. Next, the relationship that develops between Jedidiah Jones and Patience
Cavanaugh is intriguing. Snippets of their past are shared with the reader and
foreshadowing warns that they must intertwine at some point.
Other characters add dimensions to the
narrative along with elements of humor and mystery. Ms. Brendan has done her
homework with historical detail and her author's note at the end bares reading.
She has another successful novel and satisfies her reader's with an epilogue
that nicely wraps up her story with a HEA ending.
